At a very young age he felt the call of the stage. He studied at the school of dramatic art Col.legi del Teatre in Barcelona, combining his classes with a cabaret show called “Una noche contigo” staged in the mythical Llantiol theatre.

Always restless and curious, he also throws himself into another of his passions: music. He became the singer of the group Recuerdos de Rita, a very successful band with which they played in important venues and mass concerts such as the Dr Music festival.

After deciding to focus his professional career exclusively on acting, the rock band’s adventure ended and he went to live in Toulousse, France.

There he studied at the Théatre de l’acte drama school. Upon finishing his studies, the director of the school, which has one of the oldest companies in the ville rose, proposed him to play the rol of King Ubu, in the free adaptation of the work of A. Jarry; Ubu king. This was his first job with the company, in which he was part for ten years. He carries on with continuous training, with courses including the prestigious Emergance in Paris.

Also passionate about celluloid, he decided to go live in Paris to try his luck. Finally, he entered to the world of French cinema at the hands of the film director Christophe Le Masne, who, after collaborating with him on two awarded short films (Clermont Ferrand, Aubagne …) offers him the possibility of playing a role in the first director’s comedy feature film: Moi, maman, ma mere et moi, along with such an actors as Philipe Nahon, Greg Monteil, Philippe Rebot, Lolita Chammah. Film premiered at the Angoulemme film festival.

After working for ten years in France, he decided to return to his hometown, Barcelona, where he currently lives.

Ever awake and looking for new opportunities, he has managed to act as a supporting actor in several spanish series for Netflix and Movistar.

Alex Moreu’s skills are a gift for comedy, the ability to play music and play differents instruments, and also the way he creates his characters, approaching them from simplicity. Creating them from the movement, by their body: how the character walks, how he eats, how he speaks.

For him, interpretation is always a game, it’s like children having fun in the playground. A need, a way of existing and a space in wich to reflect on the injustices and paradoxes of the world in wich we live. Always of course, from a humorous point of view. Laughter is happiness.
